The six-year-old Landeschampion stallion Chavaros II (Charleston–Con Air) from Hengststation Maas J. Hell is entering the next stage of his career – under the saddle of world-class rider Rolf-Göran Bengtsson.
Herbert Ulonska, owner of Hengststation Maas J. Hell, stated: “I am very pleased about the agreement with Team Bengtsson, as Chavaros II is now in excellent hands. We are well aware of the quality of the stallion and of Rolf-Göran Bengtsson as a rider, and we look to the future with optimism.”
Chavaros II comes from the renowned Holsteiner dam line 1571 and was reserve champion at his licensing in 2021. He completed his short performance test with good marks and was the top scorer in the 2024 sport test for his age group in Münster-Handorf, achieving a weighted final score of 8.8. In June 2024, he won the State Championship for five-year-old show jumpers in Elmshorn with scores of 8.8 (first round) and 9.0 (second round) under rider Philipp Schulze. The breeder of Chavaros II is Reimer Detlef Hennings.
The first foal crops of Chavaros II already stand out with exceptionally good foals in terms of type, conformation, and movement potential. He has already sired several championship and elite foals. Now, the stunning grey stallion continues his journey with one of the best riders in the world.
Rolf-Göran Bengtsson is looking forward to working with his new partner: “Chavaros II is a very pleasant stallion to ride, with great quality, excellent canter, and a very good attitude. On top of that, he’s also a truly uncomplicated and sweet-natured horse.”
Chavaros II remains fully available to breeders through Hengststation Maas J. Hell. He comes from one of the best Holsteiner mare lines (1571), which has already produced 15 licensed stallions and numerous internationally successful sport horses. His dam, Venetia I, has already produced four licensed sons and eight sport horses.
